Yazdy wheat porridge

The wheat porridge, is one of Yazd province’s cuisines, that is known as Imam Hossein porridge either. This porridge is so delicious and has different types, and differences in preparation and materials. This is the most complete and nutritious food samples that has been transferred from our ancestors to the next generations and they have kept its recipes. This porridge is made mostly in rituals especially in Moharram and Safarmonths, and would be distributed among people. Locals use ptisan, pearl barley, lentils, mung, white beans, vegetables, pease,red beans, cowpea, wax bean,salt, red pepper, cumin, turmeric, oregano ,thyme as the porridge materials
